*   Announcing discounted preregistration for regular MNOC events
Ian Harding
January 20, 2008

MNOC is pleased to announce that for all regular meets after April 1, 2008, participants can preregister on-line and receive a $1 discount off the regular fees.

We hope you will take advantage of this new service so that MNOC can better plan events and speed up registration on the day of the event. You and MNOC will not have to handle cash on the day of the meet, plus you can make sure that your name is typed in correctly in the results (rather than us having to attempt to decipher your handwriting on the punch card).

This preregistration is accessed on the web site either from the Register for an Event link on the menu, or from the main event schedule (click on each event). Sign up now for one event - or many. Remember that you can add multiple registrations to your shopping cart and pay for them all at once.

*   New start windows and course closing times in 2006
Pete Curtis
November 28, 2005

The MNOC Board of Directors voted to standardize the start windows and course closing times for the 2006 season. The decision was based on our real world experience over the past few years, and took into account the actual number of participants in our events, the volunteer workload, and safety concerns relating to early sunset in the fall and winter months.

The new schedule is as follows:

SeasonStart timesCourse closing
Winter (1/1-4/1)12 pm - 1 pm3 pm
Spring/Summer/Fall (during Daylight Savings Time)12 pm - 1:30 pm3:30 pm
Fall (after Daylight Savings Time)11 am - 12:30 pm2:30 pm
